Project Background

Ruangguru is currently the largest tech-enabled education provider in Indonesia, serving over 38 million users and 300,000 teachers. and works closely with all levels of the Indonesian government. Ruangguru offers a variety of educational services for all levels, from K–12 (pre-primary school–senior high school) to lifelong learning. One of the K-12 products is Ruangbelajar, its an online self-learning platform with subscription model that offers topic-based journeys, consisting of animated videos, quizzes, infographic summaries, and mock tests.

Created loop learning experience mechanism, after users did assessment then they will see result page from it, with focusing more on their strength and weaknesses, and users also can visit the real time report to identify all of their understanding from subjects level to the topics detail. we also add smart recommendation as an actionable items to feedback, result and report. So users not only can analyze understanding but also can continue/improve their learnings.

📚 My Design Process

The Concept for “the Hook” is to let users understand the flow & make them interest to try this feature, and turns out from 2 concepts that i test to users, they like the concept 1, because of the easiness to interact and can quickly go to the watchlist feature, then i use this concept for the hook in the beginning of the flow

  • Users are confused because our current results and report page don't provide clear suggestions on what to do next to continue learning.

  • They don't know their strengths and weaknesses after completing assignment tests, so they can't effectively learn in ruangbelajar.

Learning from previous data, insights, and usability inspections, I decided to redesign the page by providing better insights and actionable results after users complete their assignment test. I will also add motivation and engaging copy to encourage them to continue and improve their learning based on their understanding.
